Frequently asked questions

Do you meet with your clients prior to receiving a contract?
Yes, we prefer to meet our couples prior to their event just to introduce ourselves and to find out what's most important to them for their wedding video.

We have decided to use your services. What's next?
Contact us and we will send you a contract to fill out. Mail it to us with a $300 deposit. This will secure your wedding date with us and no other wedding will be booked for that day.

What type of video equipment will be used to tape our wedding, and will it be distracting?
We use professional three chip mini DV camcorders that are compact and silent. A lapel mic placed on the groom to clearly pick up your wedding vows. Our skilled videographers at Gifted Video tape the ceremony and reception in a discreet, unobtrusive manner by controlling the camera from a stationary tripod during the ceremony. At the reception, a combination of hand holding the cameras and a tripod are utilized.

If your camera is placed far from the alter, will we still be able to hear our vows on tape?
Through the use of our broadcast-quality wireless microphones, your vows are captured with excellent clarity.

The wedding takes place in the evening and the lighting in the church is a little dim, will the picture quality still look ok?
Our professional cameras produce very well in low light although cameras capture better images in bright light. Unless your wedding is lit solely by candlelight, recording your ceremony in the evening will pose no problems.

Do you work well with photographers?
Yes, we also request to contact the photographer prior to your wedding just to introduce ourselves and ask how we could help them make their job easier. We feel working closely as a team with your photographers, DJ, and other vendors will help us to coordinate all the important events of your wedding day.

Will the images in the video fade over time?
No. If properly stored, the video should last indefinitely. It is always important to request extra copies of your DVDs incase you move, misplace, or damage your DVD.

Can we make changes to the final video if we need to?
Absolutely! We allow up to three changes free of charge. Our goal is that you are 100% satisfied with your final video.

When could we receive our final edited video?
We request 2-3 months to provide you with the final video package.
